New Year....New Me?

I have a few New Year's resolutions.  Most of the time I think resolutions are stupid, but I'm going to give it a try this year.

1. Be more fabulous.
This is in an all encompassing resolution.  I want all areas of my life to be more fabulous-school, work, social life.  I suppose in essence, "A Year of Ashley."  (Much like the famed "Summer of George" from one of the most fabulous TV shows of all time-Seinfeld.)  I have a somewhat plan of action for my desire to get more fabulous and am taking my time to enact it.  I think my slow implementation is so I avoid getting burnt out on the word "fabulous."

2. Keep on learning how to play guitar.
This resolution addresses the stand-still I reached in my guitar learning.  I learned the basic chords quickly and once I got a good strumming pattern down, I haven't learned any more new stuff.  I'd like to learn how to play the blues, bar chords, and I should really buy a capo.

3. Sleep less.
I think I sleep too much.  I could way more productive if I started sleeping less.  Since I like an early bedtime, I think this means that I'll be getting up early.

4.  Take more pictures.
Josh has granted me ownership of his camera, so look out everybody-I'm going to be picture-happy.

5. Eat better foods.
After listening to my Aunt Sarah, the dietician, my family history is guaranteeing  me a life of high cholesterol and diabetes. So, my Little Caesar $5 pizza days are numbered.  And I know what I need to do, it's just a matter of actually doing it.

I think 5 resolutions is enough.  Happy 2009!
