(I promise to one day conclude the SD vacation posts...)

On Friday, a very close family friend discovered she had ovarian cancer. She is only 20.

I am mind blown. We wear our seat belts. We look both ways before we cross the street. We watch what we eat. We are all so careful not to hurt ourselves, and who knows that all along something could be manifesting itself within us. Something so horrible that nothing can stop it. Something that can cause you to lose a part of yourself or even kill you.

She's lucky in the fact that they could remove all of the tumor and the cancer, but she lost her ovary.

Her tumor was football sized. FOOTBALL SIZED. I can't even imagine.

It all happened so fast to her.
